1) Jesus said "no one knows the day nor the hour", therefore the Watchtower NEVER should of even made a suggestion as to the end of this system of things. Instead they went overboard on dates (1914, 1925, 1931,1935,1975,2000 etc etc etc etc)

2) If the governing body receives their direction (instructions from Jehovah), why has the governing body resigned on several occasions (1979,2001)

3) When you enter a project in life, especially religion, would you not want to consider all the material and make a decision on your own (1879-2003), instead they brush off (1879-1980) as misinterpeted, or overzealous people of that time. Thus brings up the question, if the material from 1980 and back is wrong (or not necessary), then 25 years from now, will we be saying the same about information studying today?

4) How can the president of the organization (for the first time) not be of the annoited class?

5) Why would the Watchtower/Awake magazines that are printed, be changed when reprinted into bound volumes ?

6) Telling people, to shun family who are unbelievers, do not further your education because the end is near (during the 1970's big time, were they right ? NO !), suggesting (hundreds of times) that it is unlikely we will see the 21st century, (were they right ? NO !)are just pathetic.

7) Why have all the leaders (especially governing body members) all white people (til know)and mostly american ? Does Jehovah only like the USA ?

8) If Russel and Rutherford are of the annoited class (they said they were), why would we not read their material today ? and believe it ?

9) Bring up your children, believing that all the rest of the kids in the world will die at Armaggeddon is really pathetic ? What is a 8 year old suppose to do, leave home and runaway with the JW's ?

10) Why was the Watchtower associated with the UN , after referrring to them as Babylon the Great for decades ?

11) Why does the Watchtower profit $1,000,000,000.00 (conservatively) a year, when they are a non-profit organization ?

12) Excessive spending on buildings, where to start on this ???? (headquarters, halls,assembly halls, printing presses), just these alone we are talking billions and billions of dollars, but they are non-profit !

13) Changing doctrine to fit the times, are we to believe that Jehovah cannot make up his mind ? (blood, smoking, sex, 1914, who not to talk to, etc etc etc.)

14) After 125 years women are still doormats, cannot give a talk, prayer, lead in the congregation,do accounts, literature, oh but cleaning is allowed. So if a woman is of the annoited, wouldn't she have more say then an elder or ministeral servant ? the answer is yes, but she doesn't, wouldn't it be a thrill of a lifetime to hear a memeber of the annoited class speak at the hall, YES, but not if the annoited member is a woman.

15) Why would any member of the Jehovah's Witnesses have a job, or house or car ??? Come on the end is near, should you not spend all of the little time remaining in the field service ??? And this question I LOVE THROWING AT THE JW'S ............ God looked after Job and provided for him during time of humilation, don't you think Jehovah will look after YOU ??? Where is your faith ???

16) Why are there so many divisions and levels in the organization ??? are not all people the same and equal ??? How many heavenly and earthly classes do you need ??? and more to come GUARANTEED.

17) Jesus said only Jehovah knows the heart, it is not for anyone else to JUDGE ??? but the JW's sure like to Judge and gossip don't they ???

18) Regardless what the JW's say, the organization started in 1879 (approx.) and the name Jehovah's Witnesses came into effect in the 1930's. So what about 4000 B.C.E til 1878 A.D.??? what no records ??? NOTHING ??? So in 1879, Jehovah and Jesus were sitting around in heaven and decided Okay, lets try something new ???

19) and my last question, this is directed at all people of all religions ................ What is this fascination in the world with "What is going to happen to me when I die ???" , Religions have thrived on this, did we not learn anything from the Egyptians, 2000 years later we dig up the tombs and discuss what they believed and how they prepared for their afterlife. And 2000 years from now archologists will dig up our bodies. Let me save you all the trouble, you will find the truth the day after you die, worrying about it now will not help your life, enjoy your time on earth, and help your fellow man as much as you can, and what happens after, worry about it after you die !

please explain to me this watchtower doctrine, which still stands today as a revealed truth from the faithful and discreet slave class revealed in 1935 still taught today: .

judge rutherford, representing the watchtower society announced in 1935 in a convention that the doors to heaven were shut down in 1935, and the gathering of the annointed class was accomplished in 1935. .

but I am sick and tired of people saying "well this was misunderstood" or "misinterpeted" .

That is a tractor trailer load of BS.

If, these so called annoited ones and/or faithful and discreet slave class, who are writing the books in the (1900-1990's) get all their information from GOD, are we then to believe that Jehovah cannot express himself properly to his so called "annoited ones". Or that the annoited ones are just brain dead. What a cop-out.

And the part that kills me is, the loyal JW's believe it EVERYTIME.

on this forum, aside from some of the more obvious names associated with our avatars, what does your nickname/username mean or refer to?.

Three things combined .........

During my days as a JW , 1) my parents used to say to me that anytime I felt pressured by "worldly" things that I should run not walk away. 2) Then later in life when I was trying to get out, that I had to run from the organization, 3 )and we all heard the term at the Kingdom Hall as kids walk don't run in the hall.

So you take these three and turn them around abit (since I am a so called "apostate") and I came up with "run don't walk" away from the Watchtower.

I know it sounds a bit strange, but I found it humourous at the time and stuck with that name.

I think it WAS (not anymore), the 1914 thing, that generation will not pass away.

The Watchtower played on this one for decades, making everyone believe the end of this system would come in their lifetime, and that they would SEE the end of the world. Boy they suckered people REALLY GOOD on this one, you have to give them a "little" bit of credit.

It is amazing how they keep it going.

So, what great calculation will they come up with next ??????

How Do You Feel About Jehovah's Witnesses???

nearly everyone that posts here says mostly negative things about the witnesses.

a few will speak of certain jw's that were helpful to them while they were going through difficulties.

in the situation that you find yourself in now, do you feel that you hate jw's?

There are not many things in life I hate, but stupidity is definitely # 1, and the Watchtower is full of it.

Absolutely despise all of them, yeah that sounds a bit harsh I know, maybe its alot of anger inside talking, but ............

I feel like I was ripped off and had been had. Is there a worse feeling in life ??????? And all of my family is still in the organization and their kids.

125 years of the watchtower, and women are still considered garbage.. they cannot give talks, have a position in the congregation, cannot lead a study when a man is present, give a prayer etc etc etc etc.......... they can be of the annoited class, but a man who is a ms, still has more say !!!!!!!!!!.

with a possible fall out in the financial area, the watchtower "could" (probaly won't) be in for some hard financial times.. with all the new fancy building, printing presses, halls etc, etc, etc.. now, i haven't been to a meeting in 15 years, i don't remember back then, but is there "an unwritten rule" (10% of your check) about how much money you should give to the wts.

that the congregation kind of follows ??????????.

do you think the watchtower will lower themselves more and ask people to start giving more ????

What happens when the Governing Body dies off?

most of the gb members are in their 80s and 90s.

with the passing of milton henschel (82), one wonders if they'll all live to be nearly 100, like freddy franz.. so let's take a theoretical look into the future, 11 years from now.. the year is 2014. the last gb member dies.

Come on, this is so simple ..............

The Watchtower will have "new light on this situation and determine they meant 1975 not 1914 , that this generation will by no means pass away" and heavens doors closed in 1995 not 1935.

Actually it is a good question, just couldn't resist a "bit" of sarcasm.

The next ten years are the "make it or break it years" for the watchtower.

How can you have people leading the organization (Don Adams, current president) that are not of the so called "annoited class", one senses a complete overhaul in their doctrines.

I have always said since I was young that religion (especially the JW's) is like a hollywood storyboard, you know the beginning, you know the ending, it's just how to keep the middle going on and on and on and on and on because the ending never comes !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would have answered "not a snowballs chance in hell" , but the last couple of years, they are screwing up beyond belief.

The new headquarters in Patterson is taking a lot heat from loyal JW's, let alone us so called "apostates"
